Our Mission
Our Mission
The mission of the Church is the Mission of God, “who desires all men and women to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4)
We want to receive and live the love of Christ through our words and deeds. (1 John 4:19, Colossians 3:17). It is necessary to be served by God in His Word and Sacraments, only then we can act with love towards our neighbor. “We love because God first loved us” (1 John 4:19).
We desire to share the Truth of the Gospel so that Christ may reach people’s hearts and that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal forgiveness, life, and salvation. (Matthew 28:19; John 3:16)
As a Christian Church we want to live, celebrate, and share our faith through:
Divine service
Our Service is focused on receiving God’s gifts in His Word and Sacraments. It is Christ who is the center of our worship, it is He who works through His Means of Grace. In the liturgy we raise prayers and thanksgivings, we sing hymns that celebrate and express the Christian faith. (Romans 12:1; Colossians 3:16)
Biblical Teaching
The Bible is preached and taught as the Word of God. We value preaching that properly distinguishes between Law and Gospel. (John 1:17; 2 Tim 3:16-17)
Daily Prayer
We value and encourage a rich devotional life centered on God’s Word and prayer. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9, 1 Timothy 2:1)
Respecting Tradition
As a confessional church, we value the heritage that God has passed on to us in the doctrine and practice of our fathers, which is expressed in the Lutheran Confessions contained in the Book of Concord of 1580. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26; 2 Thessalonians 2:15)
Family-Centered
We value a family environment where each person experiences love, care, and support for each other. (John 15:17; Ephesians 4:32)
